  2. No intelligent vegan based their protein intake from quinoa…this is the silliest discussion on protein. Beans, and soy especially, have so much more protein. Any bodybuilding vegan would know that…

  3. Hi Jeff. Thanks for addressing the topic that is gaining momentum, but I agree with most of the comments that you can bring a panel of vegans, like nimai Delgado, simmnet, John venus, Leo Venus, Bianca Taylor, Dr Garth, Dr Gregor, Natalie Mathews, Steven coyote… and the list goes on on….

  4. Within in the 1st 7 minutes you're trying to justify tha e torture and killing of one being as opposed to another. This video doesn't start on philosophically stable footing. I'll be interested to see to where this goes from here.

  5. I don't know about with Seventh Day Adventists, but, in the Mediterranean, there are a lot of people who spend a significant portion of the year fasting, either outright water or dry fasting, or, by removing a certain aspect of food (maybe drink) from their daily fare for a certain amount of time. This was discounted as a possible reason for their good health by the sort of people who believe that fasting is not healthy; but, it was not discounted by some allergists or many people who believe fasting is good for you.

    I say "some allergists", because, it is actually not good for you to be eating the same things all the time. Your body needs a break from them, sometimes. If we were eating seasonally, we'd naturally have those breaks, both from food types and, sometimes, from quantity of food (all the way up to, occasionally, having no food)

  6. The Yowli tribe were cannibals and big meat eaters. They had a culture that they didn't like, They overthrew it. They started eating nothing but yams. Cooked, I think. They thrived. Eating either way, they were known for being very energetic, fierce warriors.

    Then, people came to plow up their jungle. They made them live in Quonset huts and eat canned foods. They got quite ill and died early.

    Whether cultures thrived on veggies, meat, grains… throughout all of known history … the worst thing that ever happened to them was more civilization foisted on them by the greedy.

  7. Also, I think this guy must never have been in nature. Be in nature. Walk 50 miles out in the middle of nowhere, with no food or water, and keep going until you are full-on hungry and spot a dandelion. Bitter, nasty, horrible dandelion greens. You'll want them. You won't care about salad dressing. Your body wants nutrition – fast, and, easy to catch, and, that means it wants greens, berries, flowers, and fruit.

    There was an interesting TED talk from an anthropologist regarding why the paleo diet is wrong for humans. It was pointed out that when they examine the teeth of people that get dug up, they tend to have seeds from fruit or grain stuck in their teeth. Most human cultures were primarily plant based throughout all of known history.

  8. I don’t eat any processed food. I don’t thrive on plants alone, so I eat ruminants nose to tail and wild caught fish. I get told I look ten years younger than I am, often (just sayin’) don’t smoke or drink, hit the gym three times a week, I feel great and have a productive life. Diet is very important.

    I think some people can thrive on a vegan diet, we are all different such as some people can’t convert beta carotene into retinol for example. If you know your nutrition you know what that means.

  9. Killing sentient beings that want to live just as much as you do is morally wrong. The environmental impact of animal agriculture is so incredibly damaging. This is all I needed to know to switch to a strict vegan diet more than 5 years ago. Honestly, I appreciate any health benefits, but I don't really care about these, or any adverse affects of not eating dead animals. Meanwhile, I've gained 20lbs of muscle with a year and a half of calisthenics and weight training only eating plants. I have to able to look at myself in the mirror and be at peace with my conscience ethically knowing what I know. That's the bottom line.

  10. Vegans, and to a lesser extent vegetarians, are brainwashed cultists. When someone starts talking about the ethics of eating, it's clear that science and nutrition facts are not as important to him as the suffering of animals. Therefore, when presenting "facts" about nutrition, consider that this person WILL lie to you for what they consider "the greater good".

  11. mr kamal can run for the us presidency and he can convince the democrats and republicans in the same instant. i was amazed with his great confusing ( eyes rolling) answers regarding any issue . i guess even if you asked him if it was night or day he would have answered : night and day .

  12. You guys look extremely unhealthy. Have your blood analyzed by a doctor who does live blood cell analysis. I guarantee you will have DEFORMED blood cells (from lack of true B vitamins). You also can not get amino acids in a COMPLETE form that your body can RECOGNIZE eating vegan.

  13. PLEASE DO NOT follow the advice of this particular video!! I don't believe that Jeff or his guest even read one of the research articles they cited–because I actually DID read it and the research article itself said that it was funded by the Australian Egg Association!!! OMG. You would flunk out of Research Methods 101 in an undergraduate School if you did not acknowledge this in your review!!! So bad. More importantly, it is dangerous. I would hate for one of Jeff's viewers with very high cardiovascular risk-factors to watch one of these video's and think, "wow I can eat all the eggs I want now" and then die from an MI or stroke out at 58 years old. Can you imagine a stud fitness person stroking out at 55 years old and having to live in a wheel chair and wear a diaper and have to deal with open pressure ulcers on their ass for the rest of their life? I see some version of that EVER DAY in the ER( Before I became an RN, I worked as a medical researcher for a hospital). The latest research is actually showing that animal proteins in general are risk factors to premature death-from cancer and heart disease. It is what it is. Please don't be mislead by this video.
