  1. I am full keto and have been for 2+ yrs. I am a petite 46yr old female, eat well over 2000 calories per day mostly butter and MCT oil, and have become absolutely shredded ( sub 10% body fat). The beauty in it is never being hungry, never crashing, having energy and clarity from am to pm. I highly recommend… I gained muscle at this age and lost fat.

  2. Hey Ben, For me im very carb sensitive. Keto works very well for me however,i find if i do take in carbs i can only eat 100 – 150g of carbs or i will gain fat uncontrollably( with a max caloric intake of 1800). i find on Keto, i can eat in excess of 2000 calories of which 150g is fat and still lose weight. do you think this is due to an insulin issue with my body ?

    Wouldnt having carbs before a workout effect your bodies ability to produce ketones?
    Also isn't ketoacidosis only a danger for type 1 diabetics?, and keto would be beneficial for type 2?

  4. so your saying no carbs. If that's the case then it has already been tested (Israel egg diet for example) to have reverse effects in the long term. The Australian Military used this theory in the 80s and at first it seemed to work well but eventually (I mean long term) the soldiers got serious carb cravings and ended up twice as fat as they were previously as the body responded to the lack of carbs, so it converted it to fat in a defensive response as to possibly not getting any more in the short term.

  6. I am a male 36 years old weigh abt 90 kgs now been doing keto since a month. I work out in gym as well. My diet intake is 1800 cals but my protien intake is less then recommended for gym goers. My question is that how can i gain muscle will low protien intake ?? Is there fear of loosing on muscles

  7. my neurologist put me on keto to help with my epilepsy (incresed brain function can ack almost a a "reset" button, to help with seizures . Its hard if u love carbs, but once u get the hang of it, its great.I haven't lost any performance, I feel great and I have more energy. I have a very physical job, but I dont fall asleep like I used to when I get home. Its the same for the gym. I used to just pass out after a workout, now I dont! I have also lost visibly high levels fat

  8. I've heard you can have up to 100 carbs a day if you're bodybuilding. So most days I have about 40 carbs but workout days I have an extra 40 carbs as sweet potatoes before a workout and that seemed to help a lot for energy.

Your insinuation that we can't get Clean Unrefined Starches at Restaurants is TRASH.  You simply tell the Waitress or Waiter you are on a Medically Allergic to all solid fats and oils!They will either do what you say or you LEAVE! They don't want to get sued! You can get Unpeeled Sweet or White Potatoes  almost ANYWHERE! Keto Diets can definitely work, BUT THEY AREN'T NECESSARY, if we eat Starches as Originally Designed By God!

  10. 8:55 I can confirm this. I am 6 2 and was around 315 at my max I entered keto for 8 months and lost 100 pounds. Going from 315-240 I was losing weight every day (I would only exercise once a week if even that) After 240 I did have to increase the amount of exercise i did because I did not see much weight loss otherwise. Unless I went super calorie deficient.
