  1. One thing you forgot to mention is that competition plates are THE LOUDEST of the 3.  I couldn't believe how loud just 45 lb Rogue comp plates would be on my platform.  I had to look around to see if one of my shelves had collapsed to produce the noise.  About 1.5 times the noise of HG plates.  Those SST bolted plates on the comp plates really bring the noise.  Haven't received my Hi Temps yet to really see about the noise.

  2. Those Pendlay bumpers are such shit, I ordered a set and the 10's bent and warped in two weeks and they all were 3-5 mm's taller than one another and the 20's were made of a harder different material than the 10's 15's and 25's. I ordered an extra pair of 25's; and I ended up with 4-25's that were 3 different colors "shades of red;" and they were different sizes; each one was 3-5 mm taller than one another. Maybe they got better, but the set that I got wasn't worth more than $300-400 new and I paid over 1000. I sent them back and the manager was a total asshole.

  3. The Hi-Temps when dealing with the 10lbs and 15lbs the metal collar can fall off over time due to the flexibility of the plates at those lower weights. However, that only happens after after long term usable. Also they do bounce a lot as he mentioned, so you have be pretty controlling when dropping. Other than that they are pretty good plates.
