Bodybuilders and physique athletes sometimes get laughed at for obsessing over their diets—planning things out to the gram, measuring food on scales, and being able to break down a meal into macros by sight.

But in my experience, they’re a really advanced group when it comes to nutrition. They understand a lot of things that people in general society don’t.

  1. A completely vague and actionless video. No practical use cases of scientific findings, no papers cited, no real world knowledge delivered from this video. I'm sure this guy can be specific when defending his dissertation but put him on a video and you get 11 mins of Bro science tips.

  2. Why did i waste over 11mins of my life watching the video when i could have came directly to the comments lol. Glad to know everybody here has an imaginary PhD. People with no knowledge are arguing against a guy who does this for a career, its scarey to think that they might be giving their advide to people in gym (setting them up for failure)…kids nowadays are toxic actually step away from the internet and go to a gym (i.e. anything but planet fitness)

  3. In jail I ate plenty of porridge, apples, rice, tuna, potatoes,some red meat, but at the end of the day I trained 1hr to 1 .5 hours 5 times a week on some days I trained morning and evening in 6 months I put on 3 stone had no supplements nothing just ate slept and trained end of

  4. Just Eat Anything You Want, Not Fast Food/Junk Food. You Don’t Really Need To Count Protein/Calories Unless You Wanna Compete. For A Good Body & Fit Body Just Eat Right & Also Don’t Give Up On Everything. Have Cheat Meals too.

  6. 218ilbs 7% body fat, I eat all chicken and fish and a ton of veg. Love me some cows milk and a lot of it. Beer on the weekend, not diet focused eat good work out hard and enjoy life. To much science live your life your here for 70+years if your lucky do you feel good move on.

  7. great info, BUT… I have a question. If you are type 2 diabetic as I am, how do you fit carbs in the equation as to not spike your glucose levels and have a really high A1C level ? thanks

    Treat your body like a car.
    Only put fuel in it when its needed.
    I am relaxing in the evening,So I do not eat carbs in this period.
    I only eat carbs upto 3pm.
    I eat protein anytime because my muscles need it to rebuild after workouts.
    All the super foods..brocolli,blueberries,etc.
    No dairy,no sugar,no bad fats,only eat until you feel you have had just enough,never eat to be a pig.
    Train early,I start at 03.45 am.
    Stand tall.
    Avoid soda as it contains aspartame which feeds cancer cells.
    Brocolli shuts down cancer of the colon.

  10. I've been doing math like crazy the past week and then I find this. Hmmm… I see how to get my protein, but I don't see how to get my protein without going over on fat and/or carbs. I'm getting closer though and this video actually helped a lot towards solving that riddle.

  11. I have one more meal left today and then a before bed snack. I have 138.4g of protein left, 8.56g of fat left, and 116.4g of carbs left. What on earth can I eat without going over my fat intake? Maybe I should have planned better but I ate pretty good today other than a handful of walnuts. That seems to have been the culprit that is going to mess me up today.

  12. He throws around words like carbs, proteins, fibers, and fats without knowing what he’s actually saying and neither does most of the audience unless they have a nutritional background. This kind of trickery makes it easy to confuse people because they don’t understand these terms. Amino acids come from plants and can build your own protein according to your body’s specific DNA coding versus getting it from animals and having to utilize what’s left of second hand protein. The type of protein and the source does matter more than the amount. I can tell that he is going by a script and probably being paid by the corporations that want to keep people stuck on consuming animal products so the health industry can keep making money off of sick people. There are more studies demonstrating that a vegan diet is helping athletes build proper muscle and have less injuries. Tom Brady, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and other famous athletes, retired or not, are beginning to support these studies after experiencing both sides. You can only speak from a point of view that you have experienced, and it is clear that he isn’t experienced enough to speak on the difference between two completely different lifestyles. According to JAMA articles, T. Collin Campbell, and medical doctors who have abandoned the system along with recent studies, Cow milk and processed meats has been found to cause more inflammation than any other foods in America, and he’s promoting both…something smells fishy here. Even I’ve been able to promote the body’s natural healing response in clients by removing dairy and processed meats from their diets, so the integrity of the protein, iron, calcium, and other vital amines (vitamins), etc. is key. You are what you eat, and though you can’t see it now, later on down the road you will experience side effects from damage caused to the body by trying to use low vibrational life depriving foods.
